Research focuses

My research focuses on Heparanase and sulfatase 1 and 2, which are some enzymes able to modify heparan-sulfate chains after their biosynthesis mainly in the extracellular compartment.
Our recent studies aim to characterize the regulation of these enzymes, their potential as biomarkers (especially in hepatology) and more broadly their role in the development of the hepatocellular carcinoma.
